AJ BRIMSON REVEALED AS THE TITANS’ UNOFFICIAL BARBER

Only a few of the Titans players who featured in the All Stars clash are expected to play in the trial game against the Cowboys on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday, with Garth Brennan preferring to rest his key stars for the Broncos hit-out. Meanwhile, AJ Brimson has been uncovered as the Titans ‘barber.’ He runs ‘Che Cut’s’ out of his garage and his customers include Jai Arrow and Ryan James. (no audio)

TITANS SKIPPER APPROACHED TO PLAY IN UK SUPER LEAGUE

Titans skipper and Blues hopeful Ryan James has revealed his playing career could have taken a completely different path. He was twice approached by Wigan to play in the UK Super League- the club’s first offer was made when James was still in the Junior ranks. James says the interest made him believe he could do anything in the NRL. Meanwhile, another Titans player has welcomed their first baby- Dale Copley sharing this photo of daughter Amari Willow. SEVENTH HEAVEN FOR STEPH GILMORE

Australia’s Steph Gilmore has claimed a record equalling seventh world surfing title. The Tweed Heads local dominated her round one heat at the Maui Pro in Hawaii yesterday, with her only remaining challenger Lakey Peterson knocked out in the second round. Peterson’s exit from the event secured the natural footer the title, which she last won in 2014. The only other female surfer to lift the trophy on seven occasions was fellow Aussie Layne Beachley.

JOEL PARKINSON WINS HAWAIIAN PRO

2012 World Champion Joel Parkinson, has turned back the clock to win the first event of this year’s triple crown, the Hawaiian Pro. The 37 year old outclassed much younger rivals in the final.
