The Gold Coast Suns have got behind this year’s Festival of Cycling, with Metricon Stadium to be the event’s new home base.
More than 2000 riders are expected to take part in the three day event – which has expanded beyond just cycling.
“We’re also having a fun run from kids to serious athletes from 100m to 10 km.”
And there’s an added bonus for AFL fans.
“We’ll put the grandfinal on the big screen so anyone who wants to stick around and watch a good game of football there’s opportunities there as well.”
The festival is in September.
