Rewind Series 3 Episode 10 – Health and Wellbeing

It was 1965, and NBN cameras were in the community, covering the events associated with Health Week.

Schools from across the region took part in the parade, and the opening ceremony at city hall.

Activities included this gymnastics demonstration, giving students an opportunity to show off their athletic skills, in Newcastle CBD.

Visiting sailors received a free Health check on arrival at Newcastle harbour.

New medical facilities opened in Woy Woy, a new children’s ward opened at Kurri Kurri hospital.

Newborn babies arrived across the region, always a popular story on Mothers Day.

Our Health Care workers, provide a vital service, dedicated professionals and volunteers, supporting the community locals saw it all on NBN News
