NBN News has always taken an active role in reporting on Road Safety initiatives.

In 1962 the NSW road safety council opened the Adamstown driver training school.

Improving skills and knowledge along with Road safety campaigns aimed to reduce the number of accidents, particularly during holidays.

Local Lions Clubs played their part, offering Free safety checks in Tighes Hill, and this clear and concise road safety message in Maitland.

Another important regulation, soon to be introduced, the mandatory wearing of seat belts…
