A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder after an altercation on a property at Dondingalong near Kempsey.
Dwayne Lancaster is accused of killing the 57-year-old, whose identity hasn’t been released.
He’s also charged with assaulting a 53-year-old woman at the property.
Police say the woman spent a night walking through dense bushland to raise the alarm.
Lancaster has been refused bail and is due to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court next Thursday.
