Police say two men approached the 72-year-old on Monday and convinced her they could repair her driveway for $300.
When the work was completed, they asked for $1000 saying they could do additional work.
But when the woman pulled out an envelope, the men distracted her and stole its entire contents which was several thousand dollars.
The first man is aged in his 30s and is around 175-centimetres tall, with a heavy build and red hair.
The second is also in his 30s, around 175-centimetres tall, with a medium build.
It’s believed the pair was driving a white Mitsubishi ute with a yellow stripe and possible Victorian registration 1FH5ZV.
