NSW Police officer fronts court over serious domestic violence charges

A NSW Police senior constable has fronted court after being accused of serious domestic violence against his former partner.

Public Transport Command Constable Jordan Weston, 28, allegedly assaulted the woman on six occasions over a two-year period.

Police allege the incidents happened in different locations across the state, including in Bargo, Doonside, Byron Bay, Mount Vernon and Huskisson between May 2021 and May 2023.

The alleged victim told police she believed her home and iPhone had been bugged by Weston during their relationship, according to court documents.

An internal investigation by NSW Police allegedly uncovered that Weston had used the police system to look up details about the woman and her family, as well as her ex-husband and other men she had dated before him.

He was charged with five counts of common assault (DV), three counts of stalking or intimidating intending fear/physical harm (DV), two counts of using a carriage service to menace or harass or offend and assault occasioning actual bodily harm DV earlier this month.

He was also charged with 14 counts of accessing or modifying restricted data held on a computer.

Weston was released on conditional bail by NSW Police earlier this month when he was charged and appeared in Picton Local court today.

His conditions include attending court, staying at his listed residence and not contacting the alleged victim.

He is yet to enter any pleas.
