THREE TEENS CHARGED OVER FAR NORTH COAST BRAWL

Three teenagers will face court in the new year over a brawl on the Far North Coast over the weekend.

It’s believed they were part of a group of more than dozen teenagers who allegedly threw rocks at a home on Allingham Place at Goonellabah on Friday night.

When those inside the home went to check what was happening, they were confronted.

A 38-year-old man was allegedly stabbed in the arm with a glass bottle, while a 19-year-old man was allegedly hit in the head and body with a metal pole.

The group took off from the house before police arrived.

Both men were taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested three boys, aged between 13 and 15.

All three have been charged with affray and were granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on Friday 29 January, 2021.

Investigations are ongoing.
