PAIR PASS AWAY AFTER LISMORE CAR CRASH LAST WEEK
Two passengers have died as a result of injuries sustained in a serious motor vehicle crash in Northern NSW early last week.
Around 9 o’clock on Tuesday night, a red Nissan 300ZX left the roadway and crashed into an embankment on Mount Lindesay Road, Woodenbong, about 100km northwest of Lismore.
There were five people in the car at the time.
The male driver, aged 20, was taken to hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.
Two of the passengers – a 17-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy – were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
The other two passengers, a 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man, were airlifted to hospital in a critical condition, but both passed away yesterday.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner, and police urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
