The Tamworth Thunderbolts State League basketball program is making inroads to develop talent across the north west region.
It’s hoped training clinics in Armidale this weekend may unearth the next player to follow in the footsteps of current stars, Scott McGann and Abe Westhorpe.
“He’s a great example of basically showing that you can do it, regardless of where you’re from. Regardless of when you started playing basketball. He started when he was 15. Just a great example of someone who’s from Armidale that made it.”
