The Newcastle Hunter Wildfires have won the Country rugby union crown.
Leading 17-7 at halftime in Port Macquarie, the Wildfires had one hand on the Caldwell Cup.
But they didn’t back off – piling on the points in the second act to beat fierce rivals Illawarra 46 to 7.
