RARE ENGINE ANTIQUE SET TO BE RESTORED IN GOSFORD

It was a very delicate operation as a rare antique was lifted into its new resting spot today.

The Central Coast machinery club has become custodian of a large Blackstone 8 engine – which they will now restore.

Weighing over 15 tonnes, it originally powered the Richmond air force base – then operated on many different experimental fuels at the Berkeley Vale bio-diesel plant.
