KENNEDY NAMED SURFING NSW AMBASSADOR

Surfing New South Wales has named Lennox Head’s Stu Kennedy an ambassador for 2016.

In the role, Kennedy will work on junior development programs, offer assistance at training camps, guest commentate at events and help to promote the sport at a grass-roots level.

The 26 year-old says it’s a chance to give back to a sport that’s given him so many opportunities.

Kennedy will surf at the Quiksilver Pro this week as an injury replacement, after narrowly missing out on requalifying for the world tour last year.
