DISQUALIFIED DRIVER CHARGED OVER PURSUIT WHICH LED TO OFFICER’S DEATH

A man disqualified for driving for life today fronted court in the Hunter, charged over a police pursuit that led to the death of an officer on Saturday night.

Paul Robert Johnson, from Greta, allegedly reached speeds of 155-kilometres an hour to evade police.

Arrested last night – he’s now facing almost 20 charges.
