  1. I passed another truck on it the other day without drama, don’t see why it needs to be changed

  2. Well Nick you were one of the lucky ones who are not affected ,but ask any larger truck drivers if they can stay in their lane on the bridge and most will tell you their truck hangs over one to two feet onto the other lane. Nearly all of the bridges along the Bucketts Way and roads surrounding have been replaced except this one ,Council would act quickly if it was close to Forster’s backyard no doubt !!!!

  3. Different council but same road, I have an email from a Port Stephens Council Traffic Engineer telling me the road is safe, despite the fatalities, speeding trucks and vehicles doing U turns over double white lines on a bend. Not going to be good for the council when somebody gets killed by a truck doing an illegal U turn when Council RMS and Police have all been made aware and its been acknowledged.

  4. How many years has that bridge been there? How many fatalities have happened on this bridge? Lots and I believe none? It was one incident, it happens. More accidents happen on the highway and its already 2 lanes each way. Ive drove past trucks on that bridge plenty, just think thin… the sedan with a car trailer using both lanes the other night however, was waiting for pinstriping up the side of the car. Silly bugger.

Its had signs recently placed to warn trucks and cars its a tight squeeze, maybe check the signs. l adhere to them, i have to for the antiquated speed signs haha.
