A man’s tried to set his car on fire after being seen driving with stolen number plates on the Gold Coast.
Police allege a 37-year-old sped away from officers at Helensvale early on Wednesday. They say they found the vehicle parked in a nearby suburb and allege he jumped inside and set the passenger seat alight.
Police say he’ll be charged with a number of serious offences.
