WOMAN DIES AFTER TWO-CAR CRASH ON PACIFIC HIGHWAY

A woman has died and five people were injured in a crash between two vehicles this morning in the Northern Rivers area.

Police and emergency services were called to a section of the Pacific Highway at Broadwater at about 9:30, after two vehicles collided head-on.

Emergency services are still working to free a man in the 4WD.

The Pacific Highway remains closed in both directions and will be for some time.
