COMMONWEALTH TITLE SHOT UP FOR GRABS
Moree boxer Cameron Hammond isn’t sure what to expect when he takes to the ring to defend his WBA Welterweight title tomorrow night against Fijian Jese (Jesse) Ravudi (Rah-Voo-Dee).
It’s the first time the 25 year old has fought a southpaw at professional level, and he’s been sparring Gunnedah’s Wade Ryan for experience.
Should the former Olympian defend his belt, he’ll challenge Englishman Frankie Gavin for the Commonwealth title.
The fight night is also for a good cause, with the Sunshine Coast bout raising money for cancer.
