The countdown is on to the start of the AFL North West season- with four sides to take the field on Saturday for round one.

And this season there’s more opportunities than ever for the women- with the return of rep footy.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
