RECYCLING FACTORY DESTROYED BY FIRE

Fire fighters remain at a recycling factory in West Gosford, after fire tore through it last night.

Six crews were called to Gibbens Street at around 6:40pm and found the building well alight.

They worked through the night to contain the fire, before heavy machinery was brought in this morning to remove smouldering bails of paper.

Firefighters say the fire spread from a garbage truck inside the factory, but it’s still working to determine how it ignited.
