CROCODILE HELPS POP THE QUESTION

Marriage proposals are nerve-wracking at the best of times, but imagine throwing a five-metre crocodile called Shrek into the mix.

Jesse Peel did just that at Port Macquarie’s Billabong Zoo this afternoon, fishing the ring out of the croc’s pond, before proposing to girlfriend, Lena Saunders.

The pair, from Port Stephens, has been together for nine and a half years… and Jesse says he wanted to pop the question in a unique way.

Thankfully after all that, Lena said yes… and Shrek was rewarded for his good behaviour.
