Police have described a spate of bow and arrow attacks on animals in Newcastle as “concerning and cowardly”.
The incidents have taken place in a residential area around Howden and Victoria streets at Carrington.
A cat found with an arrow lodged in its stomach later had to be euthanased, and last night a possum was shot through the head with an arrow.
Another arrow went through the window of a house.

Pathetic. Perhaps they should direct the next arrow into their own face.
When are they going to convict any persons doing this type of sickening act. The fines are definately NOT high enough for any type of animal cruelty!!
