POLICE HIT THE PAVEMENT FOR A FALLEN COLLEAGUE

A walk in honour of slain policeman, David Rixon has commenced with all roads leading to Tamworth.

More than 140 police officers from local Area Commands across the state will take part in the relay style walk from Wyong to Tamworth.

The 370 kilometre journey is hoped to raise funds for Police Legacy and the Rixon family.

The officers will be walking through six local commands on their way to Tamworth.
