A former Catholic priest accused of sexually abusing three young girls in the 1980s has now been charged with abusing six altar boys.
During his appearance in Armidale court today for the 25 charges relating to the girls, the 59-year-old was additionally charged with 35 child sex offences against the six boys in the 1980s.
They include nine counts of sexual assault, 25 counts of indecent assault and one count of common assault.
The altar boys were at the Moree Diocese at the time of the alleged assaults.
The man remains on conditional bail to reappear at a future date.
