The assistant federal treasurer David Bradbury was in Lismore today, to talk with local charities and non for profit representatives about the new “Australian Charities and Non for Profit Commision”.
The invitation came from the Member for Page, Jannelle Saffin.
“She’s been in my ear on a number of occasions about local organisations that have raised with her concerns about particular parts of the legislation and in fact there have been some changes we’ve made to the legislation along the way to reflect the concerns Janelle had raised.”
The legislation was passed in Parliament last week and is expected to come into effect early next month.
