Over 200 of Lismore’s ladies and a few brave men, have turned out at the the annual Our Kids Melbourne Cup Luncheon.
Now in its 10th year, the event raises money for the Our Kids charity, which provides paediatric equipment to hospitals in the Richmond Valley.
This year, along with having a lot of fun, they say they’ve raised over $10,000.
“What we’re actually putting it towards is a special care nurse who really needs a new humidity crib. So, a humidity crib costs $25,000 so the money raised today will go towards purchasing another one”
