It’s been a bittersweet end to the Newcastle Show, with organisers calling it the biggest Sunday in more than 30 years.
But when the official crowd figures are released tomorrow, they’re expected to show overall numbers were down again.
Officials say wet weather and a bungle with the new Local Event Day, which prevented schools from attending on Friday, were the main factors.
