Port Stephens water police are investigating the discovery of a man’s body near Tea Gardens late yesterday.
It’s thought the 29-year-old Anna Bay man had been travelling between Nelson Bay and Tea Gardens in a seven metre fishing boat to go prawning at about 5.00pm.
However the man’s body was found with lacerations to the stomach and legs, by another fisherman between Corrie Island and Winda Woppa.
A boat was found later with the motor still running, going around in circles.
