MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER OVER SOUTH GRAFTON STABBING

A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder, following a fatal stabbing at South Grafton over the weekend.

Officers have been told two men got into an argument at a home on Gardenia Way in the early hours of Saturday morning, with it alleged the 33-year-old stabbed a 28-year-old twice in the abdomen.

The man from Eatonsville was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, where he later died.

The accused was arrested nearby, and taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

His charge was later upgraded to murder.
