Former, current, and furture surfing stars, turned heads at Duranbah today.
Joel Parkinson, Stephanie Gilmore and Mark Occhilupo joined grommets for the annual Snapper Rocks Surf Riders Club Championship.
The laid-back, family oriented event, pitted six-year-olds against 60-year-olds.
“Joel Parkinson’s won it about 15 times, I think I’ve had a few seconds. It’s a very lucrative thing to win cause you get your name on the perpetual trophy, you know, Snapper Rocks is such a strong club, from the depth of talent in surfing, from the women to the guys.”
Presentations will be held at the Rainbow Bay Surf Lifesaving Club later this evening.
