Three employees at the Pacific Palms Recreational Club south of Forster were restrained with cable ties in a violent armed robbery overnight.
Three masked men stormed the premises as it was closing last night, forcing the three employees back into the club and demanding cash.
One of the employees, a 28-year-old man, was struck on the arm with a machete by one of the masked bandits. He was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
The three men made away with a large amount of cash from the premises after stealing a car from outside the club.
Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
