A second man has been charged with the murder of Lake Macquarie woman Carly McBride.
Around 9.30am today, investigators travelled to Lithgow where they charged a 26-year-old alleged co-offender with murder.
He was also charged with unrelated offences and is expected to face Lithgow Local Court this afternoon.
It comes after detectives arrested and charged a 39-year-old Buff Point man on Monday with McBride’s murder.
Carly McBride disappeared during a visit to Muswellbrook in September, 2014.
The body of the 31-year-old mother-of-two from Belmont, was found in bushland on the outskirts of Scone in August last year.
A post mortem examination indicated she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
