A 54-year-old man has been charged with a number of child grooming offences following a three-month covert operation.
Detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad arrested the man at Caves Beach this morning, after police posed as a 14-year-old boy online.
“It’s alleged he was meeting who he thought was a 14-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity.”
Computer equipment was also seized from the man’s Lake Macquarie home.
