SCHOOL UPGRADES STOPPED AT LENNOX HEAD PUBLIC SCHOOL

An upgrade at Lennox Head Public School has been abandoned after Indigenous artefacts were discovered in connection to the site.

The Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said pursuing the planned upgrade was not in the best long-term interests of the community or students.

A new site will now be found for a new purpose-built school.
