JACK WHITE TO HEADLINE SPLENDOUR’S RETURN TO BYRON

Jack White will headline Splendour in the Grass when it returns to Byron Bay in July.

For the last two years the event has taken place in Woodford but is heading home to Belongil Fields where it was held from 2001-2009.

The line up was released today with Bloc Party and At The Drive In announcing the performance will be their only Australian shows.

Other big names include Smashing Pumpkins, The Shins, Hilltop Hoods, The Kooks, Wolfmother, Lana Del Ray, Tame Impala, Missy Higgins and Angus Stone.

Local businesses are set to gain from the festival’s return to Byron with it expected to inject nearly $20 million into the local economy.
