CONFIRMED COVID CASE IN COFFS HARBOUR

The North Coast Public Health Unit has confirmed there’s a new COVID-19 case in Coffs Harbour.

The source of the infection is under investigation but it’s believed to have been acquired outside of the region and is unlinked to any previous local cases.

Chief Executive of the Mid North Coast Local Health District, Stewart Dowrick, says contact tracing is underway.

“We will provide more information as soon as it is available, including any potential exposure venues of public concern,” Mr Dowrick said.

This case will be included in NSW Health’s official numbers tomorrow.

“We ask the community to continue to practise COVID-safe measures at all times and please remain vigilant for symptoms of COVID-19, even if mild. If symptomatic, you must isolate and have a test,” Mr Dowrick said.

A full list of COVID-19 testing clinic locations and opening hours are listed on the NSW Government website at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/health-and-wellbeing/clinics
