PEDESTRIAN FIGHTING FOR LIFE AFTER BEING HIT BY CAR

A pedestrian is fighting for her life after being hit by a car driven by an elderly woman on the Central Coast.

The woman, in her 80s, lost control of the car before mounting the curb in Toukley, hitting the woman.

It is believed the vicitm, a woman in her 60s, is a volunteer at the Salvation Army store and was taking a break at the time.

She is in Gosford Hospital with life threatening injuries.

  1. I was at Toukley today, when the accident happened. I was shocked to see that so many people were standing around making assumptions about the driver. I believe that people make mistakes and it has just happened that the wrong mistake was made.

    My hope and prayers are with the family at this time. I am hopeful that she pulls through and makes a full recovery.
    I would like to show my appreciation towards ALL the EMERGENCY PERSONELL that showed up to offer their assistance. I believe that without their quick intervention the driver and the passenger may have been worse off.

  2. Yes it was a tragic day. I am the business owner and wish to thank all the emergency crews for their fantastic response times and their ongoing commitments at such terrible events.
    My thoughts and prayers go out to both families involved.
    How quickly our lives can change.

  3. The driver was 87 years old. she was arrested and chared with manslaughter. how ever the person she hit with her car happened to be my grandmother. I believe that if you are that old you shouldn’t be driving. Thank you to everyone that shows love and support.

    Think about loosing some one you love in that situation and then tell me that everyone makes mistakes.

  4. As the Sister-in-law to Mrs Davis I gave my licence up even though the RTA sent me it I knew that I should respect others on the road sadly this proves my point and our family has lost a dear one because of selfish people
    PLEASE THINK OF OTHERS DONT DRIVE OTHERS HAVE A RIGHT TO THEIR LIVES
