LATEST STATISTICS REVEAL OVERALL SPIKE IN POKER MACHINE USE ACROSS NSW

Statistics from Liquor and Gaming New South Wales have revealed an overall spike in gaming machine usage across the state.

New data showing most venues earned more from gamblers in the second half of 2020 than they did before the pandemic.

Poker machines tallied over $7.7-million in Tamworth between July and December last year.

It’s an almost $2-million increase on the same period in 2019.

Meanwhile, Gunnedah saw a spike of around 480,000 and Inverell recorded close to $2-million in net profit.

The increase comes despite around 2,000 machines being out-of-use across the state.
