THIRD PERSON CHARGED OVER DEATH OF NEW ZEALAND FIREFIGHTER IAN PULLEN

A third person has been charged over the death of New Zealand firefighter pilot, Ian Pullen, two years ago.

Police stormed a home in Wittingham, near Singleton, just after 9 o’clock this morning and arrested a 21-year-old woman.

She was taken to Singleton Police Station where she was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Two other Hunter residents – 30-year-old Nicole Mason and 29-year-old Joshua Knight – are already behind bars, charged with murder.

Police alleged all three were inside the Toyota Hilux which struck Mr Pullen, in the early hours of September 29th, 2018.

Instead of calling for help, police allege Mason and Knight returned to the scene and beat him to death.

43-year-old Pullen had been in Australia fighting bushfires.

The father of three was killed just days before he was due to celebrate his 24th wedding anniversary.
