The next change will move through tonight, triggering more storm activity across the Greater Hunter, before moving north.
By tomorrow, afternoon storms will develop across the northern NSW ranges, Northern Rivers and SE QLD.
After a few stuffy, humid days it will be much cooler for coastal communities as tonight’s strong southerly moves through.
For inland communities, the reprieve from the extreme heat inland will only be slight.
