ALLEGED CARJACKER TRACKED DOWN WITH GPS

A man has been charged after a pizza delivery driver was allegedly carjacked on the Mid North Coast.

Shortly after 7pm last night, the delivery driver parked his car outside a motel on the Pacific Highway in Coffs Harbour, when he was approached by a male.

Police say the 40-year-old man allegedly threatened the driver before taking his keys and driving away.

The delivery driver notified police, and the man was arrested shortly after in Orlando Street after officers tracked the car via GPS.

The man was charged with assault with intent, and high range PCA after allegedly returning a breath analysis of 0.154.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Coffs harbour Local Court on 18 September, 2017.
