WORKING SMOKE ALARM PREVENTS BATHROOM FIRE
Fire and Rescue is urging people in the Hunter to make sure their smoke alarms are working, after a callout this morning.
Crews were called to a home at Raymond Terrace just after 7am, after a bathroom heat light caught alight.
Thankfully, residents had a working smoke alarm and were able to suppress the fire, limiting the spread.
Firefighers say the fire was likely caused by an electrical issue.
