MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED AFTER NORTH WEST CRASH

A man is recovering in hospital after a serious single-car crash in the North-West early this morning.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the accident at 1.30am, 2 kilometres from Gunnedah.

Paramedics treated the 22-year-old, who was ejected from his car, for multiple serious injuries at the scene.

He was later airlifted to Tamworth Base Hospital.

Two others were in the car with him at the time.

The crash comes 24 hours after a man died and two others were seriously injured in a separate, single-car crash on Quia Road.
