SECOND TEENAGE BOY CHARGED OVER STRING OF STEALING OFFENCES

A 14-year-old Tenambit boy will appear in court tomorrow, charged with several stealing offences in the Hunter.

Police searched a number of properties in Rutherford and Aberglasslyn, as part of Operation Golding.

They found a number of allegedly stolen items, including power tools, sporting equipment and clothing.

The boy was arrested last Thursday at O’Hearn Street.

He was taken to Maitland Police Station and charged with goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.

His arrest follows the arrest of another teenage boy on Wednesday, who is before the courts.

More arrests are expected, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
