CENTRAL COAST MAN CAUGHT TRAVELLING 72KM/HR OVER LIMIT WITH KIDS IN CAR

A man has been fined more than $2000 after police clocked him travelling at over twice the speed limit with several kids in the car.

Tuggerah Lakes Highway Patrol were policing Wyong Road at Berkeley Vale on Wednesday afternoon, when a Jeep Cherokee sped past at 132kph in a 60kph zone with three children on board.

The Tumbi Umbi man was slapped with a $2482 infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45kph.

His licence was also immediately suspended for six months and his vehicle was seized for three months.
