NATURAL DISASTER AREAS ANNOUNCED FOLLOWING WET AND WILD WEATHER

Ballina, Byron, Lismore and Tweed have all been declared natural disaster areas following recent rainfall and flash-flooding.

The State and Federal Government announcement will see 56 local councils receive money to help cover the costs of repairing damaged infrastructure, including roads.

Local households and businesses impacted by the wild weather may also be eligible for funding.
