BREAKING NEWS | TRUCK ROLLS DOWN EMBANKMENT AT HUNTER MINE

A man has been seriously injured in mining accident near Singleton, after his ute rolled down an embankment.

Emergency services were called to Ravensworth Open Cut Mine on Lemington Road around 1pm today when the vehicle, carrying the 60-year-old man, fell 15 meters.

The man was taken by ambulance to Singleton, and is being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Glencore says the incident has been reported to the Resources Regulator and an investigation is underway.
