There was good news for Clarence Valley Council, Richmond Valley Council and Lismore City Council today with each set to receive $1-million for drought recovery.
“This is all about councils having a bit more money to spend on projects to provide some extra job opportunities or job creating opportunities with the money they spend to keep economic activity happening while we’re affected by this,” Federal Member for Page, Kevin Hogan MP, said.
The money from the Drought Communities Program will be put towards infrastructure and drought-relief projects.
