MAN DIES WHILST SCUBA DIVING ON THE MID NORTH COAST

A man has died while scuba diving on the state’s mid north coast.

Emergency services were called to Matty’s Flat boat ramp at South West Rocks around 2pm on Wednesday, following reports a man had been pulled unresponsive from the water whilst scuba diving off Fish Rock.

Dive instructors performed CPR on the 65-year-old until paramedics arrived, however he died at the scene.

A police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been launched.

SafeWork NSW was also notified and attended the scene.
