BALALA MAN ARRESTED AFTER FIREARM, AMMUNITION SEIZED BY POLICE

A man has been charged after police found an illegal firearm at his Balala home.

Following inquiries, detectives from Strike Force Radius attended the property on Balala Street yesterday.

A weapon and ammunition were seized.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Armidale Police Station, where he was charged with 12 firearms offences.

He’ll front court in December.
